An Open Letter to the MagicLinks Community

An Open Letter to the MagicLinks Community:

As the CEO of MagicLinks, I wanted to personally reach out to wish you a Happy New Year and share thoughts on the year ahead.

Our creator community inspires me every single day. I think about how your voice contributes to positive change in our social fabric, how it inspires those who look up to you to release fear and embrace the full expression of themselves. You are so much more than an “influencer” – you are educators who inspire people to become better versions of themselves as they engage deeply with you and your communities.

I’ve heard from fans of Crystal Coons express that her videos have inspired them to shamelessly wear a swimsuit to the beach for the first time, proud of their body shape and unafraid of comments or looks. Fans of Gigi Gorgeous who live in parts of the United States that are not friendly to the transgender community have been inspired to share their true gender expression within a supportive environment. Aysha Abdul’s community feels inspired by her example to express themselves in ways that blends western expressions of beauty with traditional hijab headdress.

These voices, and countless others, provide a foundation of inspiration that the MagicLinks team leans on for daily inspiration as we work tirelessly to support your creative expression in every way we possibly can.

2017 was a year of great disruption in our society, as trends in social communication accelerate the sharing of perspectives, some which advance our collective wisdom, and others that do not.

2018 will be a powerful year of change as these trends accelerate, and despite spurts of fear and ignorance, the arc of our humanity trends inexorably towards progress and elevated consciousness.

Today, it is fitting to share inspiration from the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

We are here to support, encourage, and empower your voice.

Let’s run forward in 2018, embracing and inspiring change in all those whose lives we are fortunate enough to touch.

Sincerely,

Brian Nickerson
