3 Hacks Using Twitter’s Improved In-App Live Camera Feature to Grow Your Other Channels

Twitter may not be as popular as Instagram, with 126 million active Twitter accounts vs 1 billion Instagrammers, but that doesn’t mean influencers should ignore it. As with all other platforms, there are hacks to get your content seen by more existing and potential fans. Today, we’re going to show you how to grow ALL of your channels, using Twitter’s newly improved in-app live camera function.

At South By Southwest 2019, Twitter unveiled an upgraded iOs and Android in-app camera, with a 280 second video length (a nod to their 280 character limit for tweets). Images and videos you already have on your phone can’t be loaded on the new camera, so this is best used for quick promotional announcements & links.

So what CAN you do with the in-app live camera?

    1. Do quick live Q&A sessions with fans, where you answer their tweeted questions live on camera
    2. Post a teases to hype up your newest IGTV and YouTube videos
    3. Notify your fans of sales at your fave MagicLinks partner brands, with MagicLinks to the sale tweeted immediately afterwards.

The Twitter in-app camera has considerable limitations (no filters/stickers) at present, but it’s a quick & easy tool creators can’t ignore. Give it a go, and let us know what you think!
